About Thomas

For over 20 years, Thomas has dedicated his career to representing victims of serious personal injury, wrongful death, and professional negligence in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi. Thomas comes from a family of trial lawyers. His passion is being in the courtroom, where he has secured record-breaking verdicts for his clients.

Thomas is a member of the Inner Circle of Advocates, the most exclusive and prestigious group of trial attorneys in the country. The Inner Circle is invitation only and limited to no more than 100 lawyers nationwide.

At only 37 years old, Thomas Thomas R. Greer Tennessee Trial Lawyers Attorney Award 2026 served as President of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association (“TTLA”), one of the youngest people to ever hold that position. In 2020 and again in 2026, Thomas was named TTLA’s Outstanding Trial Lawyer of the Year—the only two-time recipient to receive this honor.

Thomas is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), an invitation-only organization reserved for the most experienced and ethical trial lawyers in the country. He will serve as president of the Tennessee Chapter of ABOTA in 2027.

“At an early age, I knew I wanted to be a lawyer, and not just any lawyer. I wanted to be a trial lawyer, like my father and grandfather. I am proud of the work I do for my clients. I represent the underdog. I help put the powerless on a level playing field with the powerful. I know that without me, or someone like me, corporations and insurance companies would break the rules and never be held fully accountable for the harm they cause.”

— Thomas R. Greer

Thomas is admitted to the United States Supreme Court Bar, and in 2026, his team obtained a unanimous 9-0 victory representing the petitioner. The decision Keathley v. Buddy Ayers Construction, Inc. is a landmark ruling that protects wrongfully injured people from having their cases thrown out of court on a technicality.

Thomas has also appeared before the Tennessee Supreme Court, Tennessee Court of Appeals, and the Fifth, Sixth and Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. Thomas also holds a 10 out of 10 rating on Avvo and an AV Preeminent Peer Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating among attorney peers and judges.

Beyond his legal accomplishments, Thomas is deeply committed to serving the Memphis community. He is an active supporter of educational and mentorship initiatives, including the Memphis Bar Association’s Summer Law Internship Program, which introduces minority high school students to careers in the legal profession.

Thomas is a passionate advocate for community service and has organized charitable initiatives to benefit local youth, including back-to-school events providing school supplies and resources to children in need. Through both his legal practice and civic involvement, he remains dedicated to improving the lives of others and strengthening the Memphis community.

A devoted father of four children, Thomas values family, hard work, personal responsibility, and compassion—principles that guide both his personal life and professional career.
